Denye' Versher

Denye’ Versher is Chief Financial Officer for Roots Community Health Center. He joins Roots with more than fifteen years of experience in accounting and finance in the private and nonprofit sectors, having served as Controller for the East Bay Community Foundation and Vice President for a nonprofit serving children and adults with disabilities. Mr. Versher is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Professional Controller, holds a Certificate in Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis and co-founded the National Society of Black CPAs. In 2020 he was awarded the National Nonprofit Controller of the Year Award.
Mr. Versher earned All-American recognition in Track and Field at UCLA, where he received a B.A. in Economics. He earned his M.B.A. from Cal State University, Long Beach.
