Barrier Removal

Individuals can meet with the Barrier Removal Coordinator to:

  • Get a legal needs assessment and obtain referrals to legal service providers and to obtain support in obtaining assistance from legal service providers
  • Sign up for an upcoming legal educational event
  • Obtain educational materials about Prop 47 and other record clearing options
  • Find out about the Alameda County Homeless and Caring Court, which helps individuals address low level misdemeanors and traffic matters in Alameda County, and may help reinstate driving privileges

Our Barrier Removal Coordinator also coordinates monthly “Know Your Rights” legal clinics for the reentry population served by Roots.
